Nigel Bowcock (Msc)
Managing Director
Nigel holds an MSc in Landscape Management and has been involved in running landscape construction and maintenance companies for over 40 years. During his career, Nigel has consulted in and completed some of the most prestigious built projects, winning seven Chelsea Flower Show Medals and six BALI Grand Awards in the process. Nigel is the current Chair of BALI and helped devise GoLandscape in 2017 and is currently involved in the introduction of the BALI Academy which will train existing and new industry members to latest industry standards. When Nigel’s not creating landscapes, you’ll likely find him involved in a community project, or decanting a batch of honey from the Acre hives.
Shane Moore
Operations Director
Shane has a wealth of experience in landscape construction and maintenance. He puts his 25 years of experience to good use, providing professional landscape designs and bespoke maintenance schedules for clients across London and the South East. In his spare time, Shane turns his enthusiasm for transforming landscapes into transforming properties.
Neil Walby
Senior Construction Manager
Neil possesses 30 years of landscape industry experience having trained initially as a horticulturist and later specialising in landscape management and construction projects. Neil has worked as a senior manager in the commercial landscape sector for the last 10 years and is passionate about delivering beautiful and enjoyable landscapes for clients in a safe and well organised manner. Neil has been involved in many successful projects over the years that have won a number of prestigious BALI awards (finalist and principle awards). Neil often spends his spare time working on enhancing and tending to his own garden.
Stuart Dunn (MCIHort)
Landscape Manager
Stuart's an award-winning landscaper who’s our expert in maintenance and construction. He specialises in semi-mature planting in urban areas, and has project managed a host of prestigious projects including Heathrow terminals 3, 4 & 5, the Olympic Village and The Cutty Sark. It was an early sign of things to come when, as a youngster, Stuart earned a coveted Blue Peter badge for a school community project.
Nick Perrin
Head of Estimating
Nick’s career as a project and quantity surveyor spans more than 30 years. He is a proactive and valuable member of our team who is responsible for all aspects of project administration, from estimating, procurement, selection, tendering, contract negotiations and management, through to final accounts settlement. What goes around comes around! Nick started his working life stockbroking in the London, and now he’s involved in delivering major city landscaping schemes.
Ross Jackson
Construction Manager
Ross has worked in the landscaping industry for over twenty years, and brings a wealth of experience in all aspects of horticulture and construction with a focus on green infrastructure, and has worked on a wide variety of projects from show gardens at RHS Chelsea to large commercial projects. Reflecting his passion for the environment, Ross has recently completed a BSc in Environmental Management and Technology and helps look after Acre’s environmental and ecological impact, both on site and off. If he’s not landscaping, Ross is probably either watching cricket or trying to sort his own garden out.
Julian Benkel
Financial Consultant
Julian is a Chartered Accountant and governance expert with over 40 years’ experience across the financial, construction and service sectors; 30 years of which at Board level. In his career, Julian has lead start-ups and management buy-outs, working in small businesses and major PLCs. He has also invested 25 years in being a Governor for a successful and popular local secondary school. Julian assists Nigel and his team on strategic financial matters. When not being with his (very) large family or socialising with friends, Julian likes nothing better than spending time watching the Seagulls soar.
Carrie Lee
Office Administration
Carrie is based at our head office and has worked for Acre since 2014. She is involved in all aspects of administration and accounts and ensures that the office runs efficiently. Carrie helped plant trees in her village to establish a new wooded area for future generations and she volunteers at an open air theatre that Acre built.
Nima Kamkar (BEng, CEng)
Information Technology
Nima has been an IT specialist since before he was born! He has over 30 years of experience as a software engineer, project manager and analyst, designing, building and managing software systems and business automation tools for various industries including European national telecoms, retail and travel industry and manufacturing. He and his team designed, built and maintain our IT networks and in-house project management systems and ensure they run smoothly so we can deliver an excellent service to our clients. In his spare time he has invented electricity, discovered the meaning of life and enjoys his life with his girlfriend and their adventurous cat Sherlock.
Sam Woods
Head of Estimating
I have been working in the construction industry for 6 years. I have an eye for detail and enjoy price estimating and tendering. Acre provides the perfect platform to develop my knowledge in the landscaping industry.
Chris Jameson
Maintenance Manager
Chris attended Oklahoma State University and has accumulated an impressive sixteen years’ experience in the horticulture industry. Chris prides himself of building strong relationship with a wide variety of clients. He brings with him a wealth of knowledge in all areas of the industry, his specialist subject being pest control and irrigation systems. He has worked on over 180 commercial and residential projects, over 100 irrigation systems and numerous high profile projects including Woolwich Royal Arsenal, Kidbrooke Village and The Gathering Place park in Tulsa, US.
